The third annual edition of MOSTRA is only two weeks away, and the Brazilian film series presented by the Illinois — São Paulo Partners of the Americas chapter just keeps growing: MOSTRA III will include five full-length feature films, five documentaries, and 22 live action and animation shorts. The screenings will be held at several universities and other institutions in Chicagoland and Urbana-Champaign, and with the exception of the opening and closing nights, all will be free of charge.
Speaking of the Opening Night gala (Noite de Estréia), the event is guaranteed to bring out a who’s who of Chicago’s Brazilian community, and we have two tickets to give away! Just join our new Meetup, The Brazil-Chicago Connection, and RSVP to the event to be entered in the drawing. The winners will be announced on Nov. 1, but if you can’t wait you can go here to buy your tickets right now.
Check out these photos of last year’s MOSTRA II opening night gala, and stay tuned for reviews and interviews with the five directors attending MOSTRA III.
